You will require a valuation. At Proctors we offer two valuation services. The first is an online valuation tool that allows you to get an instant online estimate of the value of your home based on the current market - click here for your valuation. 

We also offer a free at-home appraisal to provide you with a more detailed valuation, along with advice on the best way to market your property. And, if you book a face-to-face valuation you will also be presented with a free Proctor piggy bank.  Contact your local branch here. 

Instruction of the Agent/Property Details
Having received your valuation, and provided that you are satisfied with it, we will then proceed to prepare full sales details of your property. We will highlight the important aspects of your property and ensure that your home is shown to its best possible advantage with the aid of full colour photographs, which we will refresh regularly if needed. 

Once you have approved the details of your home, you will then be in a position to receive prospective buyers. Appointments to view your property are made by Proctors and we are happy to show prospective buyers around your home. All our staff from the branch you instruct will have visited your property, so there is always someone who can answer buyers' questions or show them around. 

We will market your home using the following tools:

  • Email alerts, mail shots and telesales to registered prospective buyers
  • Advertising of your property in local publications such as News Shopper as well as exposure on social media via Twitter, Facebook, Google + and Linkedin

Updates, offers and completion 
We aim to keep you regularly updated on the sale process right through to completion.  Once all the legal work has been completed, including a mortgage offer if necessary, the solicitors will arrange to exchange contracts with a mutually agreed completion date.
